Just In Time

I took some time off to think about certain things recently and I came up with stuff that I unconsciously knew before but that were not really present in my conscious day to day state of mind. What has school done to us…?

Whoever actually came up with the concept of school never thought it would end up as a trap for the human soul. What do I mean by this? Many of us are glued to the conventions of school (and they are quite a number of such) that simply do not work in real life. Let’s look at some:

  1. Failure is a  mark/score
  2. We are all meant to do the same things
  3. My studies is my calling
  4. My salary is my earning
  5. Crooks own businesses
  6. It is bad to dare

Etc.

Well I may sound too extreme, but if you tell me that two of these are not applicable to you , I will call you a liar.

That is actually not the core reason for which I am writing this post. What I am really after is the amount of financial illiteracy that has plagued our schools. I studied Mechanical Engineering in school and I did not do badly at all. So, you may ask, what’s his business with finances and money? Well, I decided sometime ago that I am going to do something radical. That rather than follow the conventional finish school- get an engineering job- save- retire- and die shortly after routine that many people choose to follow, I will be more daring. I decided that I will try out several possibilities, opportunities and skills. Needless to say, as soon as I burnt that bridge, I entered into a tremendous learning process that has led me into deeper things that I did not even know existed in me. I have done marketing, business development, speaking, writing (blogging), consulting, retailing etc. It’s has been a crazy ride so far but I tell you, despite the numerous trials and so far very few triumphs, I have come out better not bitter. What I am trying to say is clear. Since I left school, I have practically locked my certificate in a cupboard and have discovered a certain truth from experience: that we can rise above the circumstances of our birth through hard work, pluck and sweat if we truly believe and press into God.

In all my findings, I have discovered the mystery behind money in a different way. That you can never plunge out of the rat race as long as you are just a salary earner (and I am a strong advocate of entrepreneurship). If you received my mail “just in time”, I would love you to answer the questions in the second mail. If not indicate by dropping a comment in this post.

What then is passive income? This is simply money earned passively i.e. when you are no longer involved actively in the job that is generating it. We have a number of them:

  1. Pension 2. Rent 3. Dividend 4. Directors Bonus 5. Intellectual Property.

I believe there  is an exciting opportunity that you can grab if truly you are interested in financial freedom. Well, as I said at the beginning of this post, I do not expect everyone to act on this post, some will respond later – that’s fine. There has to be leaders in this world anyway!

In view of this I belong to a team of entrepreneurs that have chosen to push this avenue to the point of endless possibilities. We chose to organize seminars or trainings that will educate people on this. It’s totally exclusive, it’s not for everyone. It’s for the leaders, the ones who would lead an economic revolution in our world today and open the doors or opportunities for our generation. It’s for those that have chosen to live out the dreams of the old – the bricks that hold the economies of the most developed world and the ideologies that predicate true freedom. It’s for you if you believe enough to take risks and venture into this. I would like to say that the only risk involved in this is you quitting before you get there. I will not start to say anything about it here because I cannot start and not finish.

I hope you respond to this and the only way I can know is if you drop a comment to this post. This is equivalent to booking a seat for the meeting.

This is up to you.

    Gbemi, I love these words:

Lovely post by the way, though I am sure the meeting is over…
